"O who believe, fasting is decreed for you as it was decreed for those before you; perchance you will guard yourselves. (2:183)

[align=left]First of all I'd like to wish you a blessed Ramadan, May Allah accept from us and from you,,

In this holy month why don't we all cooperate to be more useful for us and for others,,
    You gonna ask me hooooow?!
    O.K. that's easy......,,
each one of us who know some info. About Ramadan will write it down and share with the others and by this way he will take his Thawab and will spend his time in a good way during his fasting..

You might find it difficult at the beginning or become perplexed towards the subject that u sld. post...

Make it easy and put what ever it relates to Ramadan from stories, 7adeeth,Quran, poems, du3a,advices, lessons, customs and traditions even some food recipes;)

The most important thing is to learn how to share and the one who know told the one who doesn't know,,,,,
    Deal!

    So let's start [/color]:)

    WHAT IS RAMADAN?

Ramadan is derived from the Arabic root word ramida or ar-ramad denoting intense scorching heat and dryness, especially the ground. From the same root there is ramdaa, sunbaked sand, and the famous proverb: "Kal Mustajeer minar Ramadaa binnar" - to jump out of the frying pan into the fire. And in a hadith the Messenger of Allah (saas) said: "The prayer of repenters is due when the young camel can feel the sun's heat early in the morning." (Muslim)

Fasting in Islam is differ from the other kinds of fasting in other religions,,,,,,,
It should be known that there are three grades of Fasting: ordinary, special and extra-special.

Ordinary Fasting means abstaining from food, drink and sexual satisfaction.
Special Fasting means keeping one's ears, eyes, tongue, hands and feet -- and all other organs -- free from sin.
Extra-special Fasting means fasting of the heart from unworthy concerns and worldly thoughts, in total disregard of everything but God, Great and Glorious is He. This kind of Fast is broken by thinking of worldly matters, except for those conducive to religious ends, since these constitute provision for the Hereafter and are not of this lower world. Those versed in the spiritual life of the heart have even said that a sin is recorded against one who concerns himself all day with arrangements for breaking his Fast. Such anxiety stems from lack of trust in the bounty of God, Great and Glorious is He, and from lack of certain faith in His promised sustenance.

Allah's Apostle said, "When the month of Ramadan starts, the gates of the heaven are opened and the gates of Hell are closed and the devils are chained." [Bukhari] ...
The first 10 days of Ramadan are mercy…you have to prepare yourself to receive the mercy, the rahma--the rahma is there. Allah sends it--you only have to receive it. If you take it and put it in your heart your heart will be glowing and shining. Then in the second 10 days is maghfira, forgiveness. And when Allah gives something, it is given. Allah is not like us – hasha! When He says the last ten days is atqun min al-nar, freedom from hellfire, it means just that: freedom from hellfire. Allah 's mercy is vast, wa wasiat rahmati kulla shay – and My Mercy encompasses all things. So these last 10 days are `atqun min al-nar. And everyone is running after freedom from the hellfire.
Don’t leave that opportunity hanging between heaven and earth—take it. You are hammering [with your tongues]. In these days don’t speak too much. Keep your tongue saying Allah, Allah, Allah and making salawat on the Prophet (s). Don’t waste your time talking nonsense. Talk less. Busy yourself with more recalling God, dhikrullah, and busy yourself keeping the presence of Allah in your heart.

So since the Devils r held u must take this chance to magnificate ur 7asanat ;)

    Al-Zakat the Zakat
The Zakat is the ordinance by Allah on every Muslim, it is a short of its property with His conditions.
Allah ordained it in his Book, in His saying:<<O their goods take alms, that so thou might- eat purity and sanctify them.>> (9:103), and His saying: << O ye who believe! Give of the good things which ye have (honorably) earned, and of the fruits of the earth which we have produced.>>(2:267).
And His saying:<< And establish regular Prayer and give regular Charity.>>(73:20).
The messenger( may the blessing and peace if Allah be upon him) said:<, the Islam is structured on five: the testimony that there is no god but Allah, and the Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah and establishing the prayer, and paying the Zakat, and performing the Hajj to the House, and the fasting of Ramadan>>.

And His saying:<< I was ordered to fight the people until they testify that there is no god but Allah and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah, and to establish the prayer and to pay the Zakat. If they do this they hold back their blood and property, except with the right of Islam, and their account is on Allah. And his saying in the will of Muath when he send him to Yemen: You come to people who has a Book. so invoke them to testify that there is no god but Allah and I am the Messenger of Allah. If they obey you to that, then tell them that Allah ( the Exalted and Mighty) had enjoined on them five prayers, in every day and night. If they obey you, let them know that He had enjoined on them a charity in their property, taken of the rich of them and is turned to the poor of them. That if they obey you for that, then be aware of the generosity of their properties, and be cautious of the invocation of the oppressed. That there is no veil between it and Allah>>.
    the Zakat wisdom
of the wisdom in the legality of the Zakat what follows.
1-The purification of the human soul of the vice of the stinginess and the avarice, and the evil and the greed.
2-The consolence of the poor, and fulfilling the needs of the poor and the wretched and the destitute.
3-Establishing the general affairs, on which the life of the nation stop and its happiness.
4-The limitation of the inflation of the properties of the rich money will not be strict to a definite sect, or it would be circulated between the rich.

Islam is the religion, the way of life of Muslims of the world. There are over one billion Muslims spread across the globe in all nationalities, languages and ethnic backgrounds. Islam was the religion of the first couple, Adam and Eve. It was also the religion of messengers of God like Noah, Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The essence of their message was the same:
Believe and obey the One true God and obey His messengers.

Jesus (peace be on him) was the second-last prophet of God. He foretold the coming of the last Prophet Muhammad (peace be on him). While the mission of the earlier messengers was generally limited to their own communities, prophet Muhammad's message and mission is universal and timeless till the end of this world.

    [glow=FF00FF]Belief in Islam means[/glow]

    Belief in One God
belief in all of God's messengers
belief in all the books sent down to prophets of God. These books include Torah and Gospel. Only the Holy Quran exists in its original form, however.
belief in the existence of angels
belief in the Day of Judgement, Life after Death, Heaven and Hell.
belief in the Divine Decree or Predestination, its good and its bad.
Muslims are those who declare that there is no deity except Allah (arabic for God) and that Muhammad is His messenger. They submit fully in obedience to Allah and mould their lives according to the teachings of the Holy Quran and prophet Muhammad
