as a matter of fact in our yemen community that they don't like women to work, however they need them in alot of fields, doctors, teachers...etc
the problem is that they want to have them in those fields, but not their wifes or doughters. it should be somebody else
any who had a look on the high school results got to know that most student who got hight pecentages r GIRLS
after high school, girls r not allowed to go to university
if they got the chance to do so & finish
then comes the hard part( stay home and wait for a man to marry

    in addition

most of guys & unfortunetly the educated prefer their wife to be uneducated or at most had only high school only

here we go brothers and sisters
    the (keybord) is urs
i want to know ur opinions about that

    regards

Alright bro there are plenty of reasons that conclude this issue.

I'll go over the fundamental ones.

First Reason the family would stop their daughter from continuing her education because they think its against their reputation (being conservative and such things).

Also...they'd follow their traditions and think if the daughter goes to school no one would have any interest in marrying her.

Moreover...the family's financial status might be weak which would be an opsticle for the daughter continuing her education.

And to the real fact ....that nowadays girls are very scared of the way their instructors think. He could be a teacher and a father, or he could be a beast with no feelings.

I believe the woman to go to a university is a right and not a privilege...and I believe Muslim women are given the right to work with adequate jobs...

yemenis (most of them) have different thought on this...

they think women's only job is to stay home, cook, and give birth to children...

ur point of view is right
but about the financial status of the family, i think the father or the brother who is able to buy his QAT everyday for his enjoyment can offer the basic requirements for his doughter to study
and remember universities in yemen r for free

and why this financial aspects r counted for girls and not for boys ??????/???

    thanks for ur comment

I meant in general ya brother. I wasn't specific. If the family was financially weak there, is no reason on earth what so ever that they would be buying qat when they don't have enough money to eat.
