Hello, Salaam alaikum, Kul 'am wa antum bukhairI am posting under my husband's [Bin Wasil] ID - He let me borrow it

I am an American woman who has been happily married to a Yemeni for many years now. I'd like to know if anyone can give me Yemeni recipes. I visited Yemen a while back and I loved the food I had there.
I've searched the internet but I haven't been able to find many authentic Yemeni recipes. I'd like to know how to make helba, aseed and fettah, just to name a few.

Thank you for any suggestions; I'll give my husband back his ID :D

Could you tell me more about it?

Thank you for your post. Could you tell me more about it? I think you have to boil the water first? And then I know there is a lot of mixing. Are you supposed to use a certain kind of flour? Someone (here in the US) told me to use Jiffy All-Purpose Baking Mix. Also, how long do you mix it for? In other words, how do you know when it is done? Thanks again to all for your help.

Aden recipes will be fine, too

Thank you for your reply, Magdolene

I'd also like to know other good recipes from Yemen. Aden recipes will be fine, too!

I should also add that I'd like to know how to make sebaya, merek, hubs, I've eaten all of these and loved them. My husband loves them too and poor guy, he misses the food from his home! If anyone can help me out with authentic Yemeni meals, we'd both be most grateful.

    Regards, Amina [Mrs Bin Wasil]
