How are your Christmas holiday? We hope you are enjoying
Christmas with your family and friends.

If you celebrate Christmas, we would like to wish you
the best Christmas you have ever had.

If you don't celebrate Christmas, we would like to
wish you the best holiday season you have ever had.

    You see...

Most people treat Christmas as a national holiday where
families gather to celebrate the holiday
    full of excitement and relaxation.

However, Christmas is NOT just a holiday, it is more
about LOVE and CARING about other people.

    Happy holidays and enjoy!

    Brother الثمثمى
I don't understand why should we celebrate christmas
however, if we live in a non-muslim society then we
can maybe greet the people who celebrate it & take time to do
:) something useful to ourselves during the hoilday

    Hello All

I've Had A Lot Of Discussions With Other Brothers And Sisters Here In New York City About This Topic. I Have Lived Here For Over Ten Years. Although, I Have Never Officially Celebrated Christmas, I Used To Greet My Friends In Times Of X-mas And Sometimes Exchange Gifts.1

However, I Have Had A Change Of Heart (mind). I've Realized That By Greeting Them And/or Exchanging Gifts With Them, I Am Actually Telling Them (mutely) That Their Religion (christianity) Is Right! But, As Muslims, We Kinow That Islam Is The Only Right Religion, Right?! So, We Should Always Keep That In Mind While We Interact With People From Different Religions. We Don't Have To Tell Them That Their Religion Is Wrong, But At Least Act Like Our Religion, Islam, Is The Right Religion. هذا من رايي هو اضعف الايمان

    My Regards

    Tk

    Mmmmmmm
I think charismas is a christen holiday if we greet them , we almost share their celebration. I never seen a christen saying ,Happy eid or think of saying it except your close friend. So why always we have to make ourselves look bad in such occasions?
So I don’t see the need for greeting them or sharing gift with them. I totally agree with T_K

Hardly would you know the difference between Muslims and Christians. We live together in all harmonies. Christmas or Eids are part of everyone of us without compromising individual beliefs. We should be interactive and proactive. We should not forget our role in the society. We should be a good example to others. Islam urges us to be kind with all people without any kind of discrimination due to differences in faith or race.
The argument that “Christmas is, after all, Prophet Jesus' birthday and so there is no harm in celebrating Christmas” is neither logical nor Islamic. Why should Muslims celebrate Jesus' birthday? Why not the birthdays of the other 24 prophets and messengers who are mentioned in the Qur'an by name? For us Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final Prophet and Messenger of Allah, not Jesus. Christians believe that Jesus was the last one and they say that he is the son of God, thus they celebrate his coming.
Indeed, the Christmas season has been aggressively promoted in every aspect of business, in private schools, in public places like malls. High pressure sales tactics have invaded the home through television, radio, magazine and newspaper, captivating the imagination with every kind of attraction day and night for a month or more every year.

So nice topic from you dear Thamthami.
